SOME PLACES TO EAT, DRINK, AND SHOP IN CORK

PUBS

The Lobby Bar (close to 2 miles away from my apartment and an interesting walk home) offered live music nightly, even some blues! One night featured Big Boy Henry from South Carolina. Closing time came much too early (about 11:00), though it saved my lungs from being filled with additional cigarette smoke! Also enjoyable were the traditional Irish music on Sunday afternoons which often included children playing on the pub floor (children are not an unusual site in such places).     My only t-shirt purchase came from here. On the back it says "...Then one night in the Lobby..." Unfortunately, the Lobby Bar closed in 2005 after providing great entertainment for 17 years.
